Ej Martin, our CEO and President, went to college at Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine where he developed a love for travel, adventure and the unexpected. He graduated with a B.S. in Marine Engineering Technology in 2003 and a Coast Guard License for working on ships with unlimited horsepower.
With no job promised and 125$ in his pocket, he flew to Louisiana the day after graduation and found a job working as a relief chief engineer on an offshore supply vessel serving the oil industry out of Port Fourchon. He worked in this industry for a couple of years until doing a 180 degree flip and found work on a small eco-tourism boat run by Lindblad Expeditions who is partnered with National Geographic. With Lindblad, Ej was able to travel the world and see things normally reserved for the pages of outdoor magazines.
After a few years of traveling he decided it was time to get off the cruise ships and found work in the renewable energy industry. Currently EJ spends his daylight hours as a Regional Operations Manager, overseeing several wind farms operating in the Northeastern United States. After spending most of his adult life as a nomad he has settled in Canandaigua, NY with his girlfriend Laci and their dog Mari.
Kurt Milligan, our COO, attended the University of Maine where he earned a BA in New Media. After graduating in 2003, Kurt found himself working for a small web upstart in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Lucky enough to find an apartment on Lake Winnipesaukee, he spent many of his evenings fishing or searching for local edible mushrooms.
The next few years were spent developing web pages for what quickly became the largest independent real estate brokerage in New Hampshire, but something was missing. In late 2008, Kurt packed his things and headed south to Charlottesville, VA to try his luck in a new place . After a time, Kurt was hired by Video Gaming Technologies where he is currently employed as a Program Manager. He now spends his days managing software development for the casino gaming industry.
